Georgia System Operations Corporation is comprised of two divisions — GSOC Operations and GSOC Shared Services/IT.

In support of our major customers — the Member Systems, Oglethorpe Power Corporation and Georgia Transmission Corporation — GSOC Operations implements purchases and sales contracts, schedules and monitors individual hourly transactions, and dispatches and monitors generation assets.  GSOC Operations also captures the data necessary for billing, operates and monitors GTC's transmission assets (including OASIS for transmission reservations), participates in system restoration and equipment outage management, and ensures customer confidentiality by following strict industry standards of conduct.

GSOC Shared Services/IT provides the support services of the three companies by furnishing functions such as accounts payable, board administration, creative services, facility services, human resources, information technology, payroll, records administration, telecommunications and training services.
